Not something I have done, but have you tried chan="both"?

yes, but this is no output vumeter, this is both chanels without channel fader and crossfader position.

Well...i hope that can help you...I´m not teacher but .......this example code was write in Platinum skin...check inside the code skin ...(and others skins also...is very interesting to see how it is work)...
