Is there a way to stop the disc(s) from rotating on certain skins?
Can I modify the xml to do this?

Yes,just remove the "visual" entry for custom>rotation or custom>transparent or both for both decks in the xml file.

Thanks it worked, also the program now seems to run a lot smoother.
I stopped the discs from spinning, but kept the arm movement.
Maybe the spinning discs should be an option for Minmium spec machines.
Thanks again.

"Thanks it worked, also the program now seems to run a lot smoother." Is that true????? Only because of spinning discs? :))))

I can't offer any proof but you can certainly try it and let us know what you think.

Getting the spinning of disc off, does save a little bit of ressources.
To prove this, take the default skin, play a track on each deck.
Put the TK Filter V2 effect on a slot and activate it
now change the parameters of the effect by moving the mouse. You will see the visual will be a bit choppy.
Now try the same with for example the Dac3 skin, or even VMIX 3.
The Effect visual will run much smoother.
