Hello,
Tell some advices on this forum is not very easy, I recommend you to add my adress to your msn (you can find it in my profile). Therefor you can tell me what you want to know, I will respond as possible.
First advice :
Take a skin, unpack it and edit the two files. bmp file with PAINT, xml file with NOTEPAD (and not internet explorer). Have a look on the bmp, see how the buttons are handed, and try to find them in the xml. Then you start to move one button, two, tree, sliders, textzones, etc...
The meaning is you have to practice before creating an entire skin.
When the skin engine is finally familiar to you, start to create your own skin. It's not so easy you will have to be patient, and determinated!

Ok no problem.
Just remember you can't tell your msn here, cause only licensed users have this ability.
:-)
See you soon!
