You could try Lexicon, but this is not free. You can add mood and dancebility to the user tags of VDJ in Lexicon.

i think vdj doesn't show mood from tags. maybe there is a script in VDJ to do this. The only and direct way I know is Lexicon.

I don't see the database changing, it's id3v2.3.0 then vdj adds user1 user2 as proprietary [yet human readable] database fields.
id3v2.3.0 was future proof, then they made id3v2.4.0 with 83 fields [image the gui mess that makes]

Work with what you've got [fwtdybg, a search won't explain that acronym, but; "* with the * you've been given" ]
Do you really care about the composer field actually being the composer? [given outside classical music nobody cares]
Grouping tag; it a free tag to use for whatever
Remixer tag; Didn't the remix field tell you enough already?

Draw outside the lines.

for reference track, user1, user2 can be understood as number fields [ < > = != all these can be filtered]

yes I agree with Locodog. I do it the same way. I use composer, remixer tags and so on to use in smartlists.

I use OneTagger too. It has a system where the value in Energy can be converted to Rating (stars *) in the settings. Unfortunately, I haven't managed to figure out how to do it. Has anyone managed to work out how to set this up? I get the Energy value from Mixed In Key. In MiK you can output the Energy Level to Grouping or Label as a workaround. I would prefer Rating as it's easier visibly to see.
