I have two PCs with exactly the same hardware and an Akai APC mini MK2 on each.
I use the Akais to control my samplers, I have VirtualDJ version 8346 on both PCs.
I set up all the functions for the samplers on the first PC and then copy everything exactly 1 to 1
to the second PC and everything works just like on the first PC.
Now I install the latest version (8472) of VirtualDJ on both PCs, on the first PC the samplers work as usual
but on the second all the samplers are assigned differently and do not work.
Now I reset VirtualDJ to version 8346 (without making any other changes) and everything works again on both PCs.

You should install the 64 bit version.
Some users still use the 32-bit version
because we have tellymedia, a third-party application that unfortunately was never finished for 64-bit...
This application is very useful for DJs like me... weddings... birthdays... business and more
Is there any point in developing something like that?
I'm not asking for 32-bit to continue being supported.
A tool like tellymedia but for 64-bit would be interesting.
Thank you very much

Maybe you could outline (start a new thread perhaps) what exactly Tellymedia does that's not possible in VDJ, and how you use it. People, including Atomix devs, can then understand what's required.

I'm sure it's something that could be developed under the existing video skin framework with a bit of Babis and George wizardry.
I have a custom video skin that George made for me I have been using for years which has some pretty advanced features in it.

I was just thinking, looking at some of the images Don posted, that we could do with a front end for designing videoskins.
If there was a dedicated app or a tab in VDJ that gave people a window where they could pick and place elements, that then created the XML code, it would help make it a lot friendlier.
Like djdad's Skin Builder but for videoskins.

With AI the code required for skins could be made simpler for those with no coding knowledge.
Be nice to be able to create custom skins or video skins with a simple interface simar to those online Web hosting services.

check message box Groovin...
both Telly's did a LOT that was straight up useful and extra on top of what VDJ did, and while i know he and the dev's didn't see things the same way (understatement i know!) what we got to play with had some seriously useful eye candy both to user and customers and has pretty much become a necessity at the club.
the interface was easy to use, let you customize text far in excess of what the Text plugin does and was a one stop shop for text, text to screen for messaging including pics, video clips, emojiis, chat without having to do a screen grab, and with more on the drawing board.
some of the same would require going into multiple plugins within VDJ and even then it wouldn't have all the options available. or at least not the same ones
a video skin that we have to edit would be a bit much considering how easy it was to put a layout together that encompassed so much customization on screen in so fast a time.

I will soon open a specific thread about tellymedia
I still use it...it is essential for me

That thread didn't explain much either. The poster said that the VDJ system "sucks", then mentioned that Tellymedia had "expanded features". What are they? :-/
Personally I do a lot of video stuff in Resolume, then feed it into VDJ. I wouldn't expect VDJ to offer all the features of Resolume - and there's even some stuff VDJ does that Resolume can't (such as playing files from a folder).
In VDJ the TEXT plugin is very basic. You can only run one instance. Just static or scroll (in one direction).
VDJ's chromakey likewise. Just one knob, so I can never get good separation.
The CAMERA plugin needs some love. Selecting cameras from a knob is awkward.

Expanded features... so many it would take a quite a while to get through all of them. i'd recommend finding a windows machine with 32bit VDJ and diving in. and it will take a while if you do both TellyVisuals and TellyMedia
TellyVisuals took what pangolin used to have back in the day and gave it steroids - and Don kept adding things to make it more interesting over time. the things it does with the Layouts, and the panel customization is kinda over the top in some ways but is definitely an attention getter with all that you can have going on on screen. and it equaled to positive customer engagement and getting information to them constantly and it ways that caught the eye more than a plain scrolling text like VDJ has would do
TellyMedia - just as versatile and had media banks with video and stills long before Sampler did, a ton of features in Carousel that played folders with controls, and had plenty of camera support including webcam and we were streaming video from our phones directly to VDJ video a looong while back.. and all three - Media, Carousel, and Camera had both Green and Blue alpha channel control and the layouts could still customize to a ridiculous degree. lots of options and was easy to switch things around on the fly or among saved layouts
trying not to ramble but running out of caffeine. but it is definitely a plugin we've come to regard as essential (no pun intended) and use every single night open to close.

Thanks for helping me explain....what Tellymedia does is wonderful
I still use it today with the 32-bit version
It's a shame that we don't know anything about Don, its developer...the 64-bit version was left incomplete
