I think what you need is a <pluginzone> in your skin.. https://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Custom%20Browser.html
Havent tried it lately though, not sure if still working.
If it does, then effect_show_gui 'effectname' in your skin oninit should do the job

The button definitely works, already tried in the oldschool2 skin where it appears in the right-hand side of the browser.
My question was whether this plugin can appear in a certain part of the skin not only in the browser.
But I guess not...
