Topic: how to keep the original order number of the song when doing a search
I am thinking of purchasing virtualdj, but I have a question about this function that is used on other colleagues' computers and that is important to me.

When searching for a song in my own list where I am, virtualdj throws me the song but changes it to number 1, what I am looking for is to know its original number in my list to know what position it is in. These functions are available in other software from other competing brands.

They help me know if it is possible to enable this option, to decide if it is better for me to change software.

try the search_playlists script.
That will go to file without filtering

I'm completely new to virtualdj, I don't understand the script.

I have been using Traktor since 2008 and recently Rekorbox and both do show and maintain the position number of the song that was searched for in the list.

For example.
I look for the blue song and I know that in my playlist it is in position 25, when I search for it any other software shows it to me and tells me that it is number 25, but in virtualdj no, virtualdj tells me that it is #1
