Does anyone know if the following 2 items in recent builds are to help video playback on mac?

Build 3471 (EA) - Improve video memory detection on mac

Build 3456 (EA) - Fix too much memory used for video on mac in some case

Recently there has been feedback from mac users (myself included) that there have been small freezes in video playback, while the audio is fine. Just wondering if the above items are aimed at correcting that and we should see an improvement?

Thanks

Haha fair question...

My gig machine is a mac, I don't update with early access builds. So have not tried it yet. Was just curious if those fixes were geared towards the recent video freezes being reported.

In some cases - mainly on Macs with only an Intel GPU - too much video memory was detected by VDJ. If you are experiencing video freezes then this build is definitely worth a try :)

Using public build 3471 and ran into the same issues, freezing video. One thing I did notice, it played fine at the beginning of the night when I tested it, but it froze up after the program being used for about 2 hours. When I tested again the next morning, it was fine again. What about the program being used for an extended period could cause the video to freeze?
