Topic: Req: Can someone consider making an echo backspin effect?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi all,

I have heard many djs on the radio using this effect and it sounds great. It is a fast and long backspin with kind of like an echo on the backspin sound. It doesnt sound like a conventional echo but Im sure you guys have heard it by now. Plz let me know what you think (I wish I knew how to create effects so I could make an attempt at making it).

its probably a "Tape Echo" where the sound is filtered on each play of the sample, i think the best way to do this would be put it in as a sample, but you would have to make this in another program first...

Hmmm, maybe I can use a VST effect. Any suggestions?

Could you post post an extract somewhere on the net.
I don't know what you're talking about.

Clax,

I will try to get a hold of it or record it and post it. Maybe when they're mixing on the radio Ill record a piece.

check out www.kvr-vst.com - it will show you some good vsts, and which are free :D

I create this effect using 2 plugins.
1) Backspin (Speed=short, Length=long)
2) Ultrafunk Sonitus:fx R3a (fx:delay) more info @ http://www.ultrafunk.com

This lovely effect is created when you process both these plugins simultaneously,
& skipping the beat -4 times* as long as you want, then the effect begins.

Man Cakewalk purchsed that effect company and is selling it now for $300.00 usd. Too bad.
