Topic: Laptop screen plus monitor plus projector?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I currently have a Dell Ultrabook with only one video out, it's an HDMI connection. If I want to use a monitor to duplicate the laptop screen with both decks and output the main video to the projector, I would need a usb video card to accomplish this? Then I just set Screen 1 and 2 to duplicate and screen 3 to extend? Would this work?
