SETUP


Step 1. Connections


Connect the Mixtrack Pro with your computer using the provided USB cable.
Connect your speakers to the rear Master Output using proper RCA cables and your Headphones to the front socket.

Step 2. Drivers


No drivers are required to be installed. The Numark Mixtrack Pro is a USB Class Compliant device and your Operating system will automatically install the necessary drivers when the unit is connected to your computer.

Step 3. VirtualDJ


Install VirtualDJ 8 from http://www.virtualdj.com/download/index.html (in case you have not done already)

Start VirtualDJ and login with your Account credentials.

A Pro Infinity, Pro Subscription or Plus Mixtrack Pro Controller License is required. http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Detection Window
A detection window will appear when the unit is first connected with VirtualDJ.

Click on the "Use Soundcard" button so that VirtualDJ will apply the pre-defined audio configuration (speakers need to be connected to the Master Output of the unit)

Click to OK



The Mixtrack Pro is now ready to operate with VirtualDJ
 

MIXER CONTROLS



KEY

ACTION

1 CROSSFADER
Blends audio signals from left and right decks
2 VOLUME
Adjust Volume Output for Left and Right deck
3 MASTER VOLUME
Adjust the Volume level of the Master Output
4 LOAD
Loads the selected track on the Left/right deck
5 CUE/PFL
Send the audio signal of the Left/Right Deck to the Headphones Channel
6 EQ BASS
Adjust the Equalizer Low Band frequencies (Bass) of each mixer channel
7 EQ MID
Adjust the Equalizer Middle Band frequencies of each mixer channel
8 EQ HIGH
Adjust the Equalizer High Band frequencies (Treble) of each mixer channel
9 CUE GAIN
Adjust the Output Level of the Headphones Channel
10 CUE MIX
Blends audio signals in the Headphones channels between the Master Output (when in MIX position) and the decks that have CUE/PFL enabled (when in CUE position)
11 BROWSE
Scroll through folders and tracks
Push to set focus to the next Browser window
12 BACK
Set focus to Folders list. If focus is in Folders list, open/close sub-folders



 

DECK CONTROLS

13 SYNC
Match BPM and Phase with the opposite deck
14 CUE
Sets a Temporary Cue when paused and previews track from Cue while pressed Jumps track to Cue point when playing
15 PLAY
Play-pauses deck
16 STUTTER
Plays track when paused. Jumps and continues playing from the CUE point when playing
17 SCRATCH
Toggles between the Scratch (Vinyl) and Bend (CD) modes for the Jogwheel
18 JOG
Touch-sensitive jogwheel for scratch or bend depending on the selected mode
19 KEYLOCK
Enable/disable Key-Lock (Master Tempo). When enabled, Key will remain unchanged on Tempo changes
20 PITCH
Adjust track's tempo
21 PITCH BEND
Temporary slow-down/speed-up track's speed. Tempo will be resumed to the value designated by the pitch fader, once the buttons are released
22 LOOP MODE
Toggle between Auto and Manual loop mode
23 LOOP IN
Manual Loop mode : Set a Loop In (Start) point for a manual loop
Auto Loop mode : Half the size of the Loop
24 LOOP OUT
Manual Loop mode : Set a Loop Out (End) point for a manual loop. Exits Loop when Loop is enabled.
Auto Loop mode : Enable/disable an auto Loop of a selected size in beats
25 RELOOP
Manual Loop mode : Enables the last triggered loop. Exits Loop when loop is enabled
Auto Loop mode : Double the size of the Loop
26 EFFECT ON
Turn the selected Efect on/off
27 EFFECT SELECT
Selects previous/next Effect
28 EFFECT CONTROL 1
Adjusts the 1st Parameter of the selected Effect
29 EFFECT CONTROL 2
Adjusts the 2nd Parameter of the selected Effect
30 DELETE
turn the Hotcues Delete mode on/off
31 BUT 1
Assign or trigger (if assigned) Hotcue 1
Delete mode : Deletes Hotcue 1
32 BUT 2
Assign or trigger (if assigned) Hotcue 2
Delete mode : Deletes Hotcue 2
33 BUT 3
Assign or trigger (if assigned) Hotcue 3
Delete mode : Deletes Hotcue 3
