I usually respond " a bit later, I will play that song. I have promised a few cool house songs right now first..." :)

what suggestions do you have for a country/hip hop dance club doing 30 minute sets to keep the dance floor packed out for 30 minutes plus slow songs

Then you can also search the internet for tutorials about djing, there is a lot of usefull sruff out there.
You can subscribe for free on DigitalDJtips here: http://www.digitaldjtips.com/
You will get tips and storys twice a week ;)

But you will find lots more when you search for it yourself.
